Ladies, we all know how awful we feel when our periods start. Exercise is one of the last things we want to do. πŸ˜’

Progesterone and estrogen levels are at their lowest which makes you feel tired and less energetic. But, there are benefits of training whilst on a period.πŸ‘‡πŸ»

  • Training can decrease PMS symptoms
  • Exercise releases endorphins which give us a natural high and can elevate mood
  • Endorphins are a natural painkiller, so can help with some relief from uncomfortable periods

One study found that during the first two weeks of a menstrual cycle, estrogen levels are at their lowest. However, this can lead to greater strength and power gains. That’s great news for us girls, as the stronger we become, the more we’ll be able to lift. πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

So, ladies, let’s power through this sh**ty time of the month and use it to our advantage. πŸ’ͺ🏻
