BLOOD POOLING

HIIT (high intensity interval training) is one of the best ways to help shift unwanted body fat. One of the greatest HIIT exercises is sprint interval training. This is a fantastic cardiovascular exercise, it has many benefits one of which is reducing belly fat.

When doing sprint interval training you may experience nausea and a light headed feeling especially in between sprints. This could be the effects of blood pooling.
Whilst doing intense exercise like sprinting the heart pumps large volumes of blood to the leg muscles. When the leg muscles suddenly stop there is reduced assistance in the veins returning blood back to the heart, thus blood pooling. To avoid this try and keep your legs moving, try walking until the next sprint. If sprinting on a treadmill the belt will constantly be in motion. This can be very dangerous so always remember to be careful when getting on and off of a moving treadmill.
