Hi, I’m Tansy Simpson and I qualified as a personal trainer with Premier Global in Reading.
I specialise in weight management control, strength conditioning, postural analysis and corrective exercise.
I started my very own fitness journey when I was in my late 40’s. I got myself a PT and really enjoyed the different types of training methods we did. As I progressed, I started to fall in love with strength training. Being strong made me feel younger and better about myself. Now I’m into my 50’s I can safely say I’m in the best shape of my life.
Fit & 50 has a nice ring to it and my ‘fit & 50’ focus has helped me reach my ultimate goals such as weighted pull-ups, plyo push-ups and visible abs. In my late 40’s I didn’t think the 6-pack was possible, especially after giving birth to three children. I’ve learnt that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. Age really is just a number and it’s never too late to make a change.
I would like to think of myself as someone who genuinely cares about people. I’m definitely a big people person. I could stop and talk to anyone. I really enjoy hearing about how our clients are doing, or how their weekend went. I think that’s a massive attraction to the job. I love to see clients progress and love the personal side to “personal training”.
The experience I’ve gained over the years has taught me how much more there is to PT than just the training. That has been a valuable lesson and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it… so far.
